With the innovative computational protocols, LCPP focuses on idea that the most efficient and yet tunable photochemical systems know in nature are biological photoreceptors.
Our group has produced a series of benchmark studies employing a reduced model of retinal protonated Schiff base (rPSB), the chromophore of visual pigments.
The Laboratory for Computational Photochemistry and Photobiology (LCPP) is a bi-national lab at Bowling Green State University, USA and University of Siena, Italy.
There are around 50 publications in recent 5 years.
